Where did everybody go???

Grandma and Grandpa left first thing this morning and Daddy started off a full month of working, so it was just Sawyer and I... He kept looking at me like, "is this it?"

He did keep me on my toes today -- he was very busy!! And in between activities he just wanted to snuggle with mommy as his teeth were really bothering him.

He spent some time in our room -- going through my drawers...

Checking out his weight...

And then he helped me load the dishwasher -- he LOVES the dishwasher!!

Once we completed that chore, he found a book to read on the way into his room

Being the speed-reader that he is, he was able to quickly move on to his drawers

Something catches his eye and gets him excited!

He's going to get it...

Maybe with both arms??

He never came up with something, lost interest and it was back to mommy!

Fun day with the little guy!

But we sure missed everybody!!

Mommy's Birthday

How could I possible be 33 today?? Where does time go??
I had a really wonderful birthday - very relaxing!!

Sawyer woke up at 5a with a sore mouth -- all of his teeth seem to be coming in at once -- poor little guy! And a very dirty diaper, so we changed him, new pj's, some Motrin and a bottle and he was back down until 9a.

As he was stirring Grandma and I peeked into his room and this is what we saw.... His little foot!

He heard the camera and quickly jumped up to greet me with a great big "Happy Birthday Mom" smile

We then headed to Midway for breakfast

Sawyer likes to crawl under the kitchen table and stools, but gets himself stuck.

And it makes him SO MAD!! (Love this face)

After his nap we decided a bath would be good -- shampoo mohawk!

My boss sent me a birthday arrangement... very pretty

Grandma and Sawyer sharing some time over his afternoon bottle

This evening we cooked the Joe Davidson pork butt and it was delicious!!!
As Curt was doing final preparations, Sawyer was letting us know he was getting ready for night night time...

With Grandpa

So tired -- rubbing the eyes!!

Snuggled into Grandpa's shoulder

What a great day!

Key West for the Day

Today we spent the day down in Key West... Great day, wish we would have had more than one day.

On our way down we stopped on Big Pine Key to see if we could spot "Key Deer". We managed a couple of sightings as well as a visit to No Name Bar for a beer.

It was 80 degrees out and Sawyer needed to wear his hat once we got to Key West. He does not like to keep his hat on even though he looks darling so I took a quick picture of him and Grandma.

We had lunch at the Lazy Gecko on Duval Street - great sandwiches!

We then boarded the Conch Train for a tour of the island. Sawyer was given a conductor hat...

....Get this thing off of me!!

So daddy modeled it - looks good, huh?

Sawyer was entertained most of the train ride, he liked standing up and watching everything going on around us.

He took a time out for some juice with Grandpa

And then played a little on daddy's lap

A rooster, common on the streets of Key West.

And when we stopped for a quick break, Grandpa Jon bought an ice cream cone and shared a little with Sawyer --- boy did he love that!!

I love his look here... "I would like some more of that"

"Hey - I said, give me more!"

A picture of the train we were on.

Lignumvitae Key State Park

We had a fun day today! We packed a lunch and headed out on the water with Lignumvitae Key State Park as our destination.

During Sawyer's lunch he thought he would show off a new trick.... "How Big is Sawyer?"..... "SO BIG"!!!
