Fall Apple Orchard Adventure

We spent the day with Grandpa Larry / Dad
today and had such fun!!

The day started out a bit strange with a vist from a
Halloween monster that delivered baskets of goodies....

We still haven't figured that out!!

We then went to Apple Jack Orchards
out in Delano, MN. The pictures below
certainly capture our fun!!

Sophi on "hay" slide.

Signe too.

The girls waiting patiently for their
turn to ride the ponies.

We followed up the Orchard with a DQ stop on the
way back to Kori's house. And just when you would have
thought we had eaten enough we ordered Chinese
food and sat around a campfire in the backyard.

GREAT DAY!!!

Celebrating Reid's Birthday

In lieu of a Birthday gift Reid wanted to spend an evening
with Curt and I while we were home.

The three of us spent the evening at Dave & Busters.

We had a yummy dinner followed by all sorts
of video games. Reid was particularily good at "Tennis"
and "Deal or No Deal".

We had such a fun night!

Blowing out candles - we sang to him!

Fun surprise to have Sammy join.

Rehoboth Beach, Delaware - Day 3

This morning we headed back to the Boardwalk
for an excellent brunch and shopping.

Of course, we had to stop in at the
Purple Parrot.

Greg and Lauren then took us for a drive
up the coast so we could get a flavor of the
Delware shore.... beautiful!!!

These crazy people were at the beach (in
swimsuits) in 70 degree weather.

We also were able to experience a bit of the
histor and saw this fun house that has a cannonball
stuck in its foundation.

We headed back to DC later in the afternoon to
catch a flight to Minneapolis.

What a WONDERFUL weekend!!!

Rehoboth Beach, Delaware - Day 2

What a wonderful weekend of relaxation!!

The boys went out fishing this morning.
They did their best to catch Strippers at the
inslet, but only managed one (small) blue fish.

Lauren and I headed to the Boardwalk
for breakfast crepes and yummy pastries.

We did walk the boardwalk following to burn
off the calories so they didn't count!!

That afternoon we all took a lazy nap.

New friends joined us for a wonderful dinner
that Lauren just whipped up.

Rehoboth Beach, Delaware - Day 1

Curt and I drove to Rehoboth Beach to visit our FL Keys neighbors Skip and Flo at their Beach house.

Curt was excited to go over the Bay Bridge as it was the Charts he studied religiously for his Captains license.

We went out on their boat that evening to enjoy the
beautiful sunset....

Can you see the rainbow in this picture??

We took the boat to famous Dewey Beach
to check out the "Rusty Rudder"

Dewey Beach from the water.

Dinner on the Potomac

I have been in Washington DC for the last week working my tail off.
Curt flew in this evening and joined our staff for dinner on the Potomac.
Included are a few pictures of the beautiful sunset during our
Ferry Ride to Old Town.

This sign hung in the window of a Fish Market and
I thought it was very funny.

11 Week Ultrasound

Well, I was two days shy of 11 weeks, but measuring 11 weeks.

We met with our Neonatal Specialist today and were pleased
with how things went. The ultra-sound today was the first of a
two-part test that will indicate any chromosomal irregularities.
The original measurements are showing a very healthy
Baby Slonim!! The Doctor also shared that our Baby has
a nice nasal bone... we didn't dare ask if he meant large!!

In regards to my T-shaped uterus he will treat me as he
would with any other uterine abnormality. General risks or
concerns are cervix incompetency and pre-term labor.
I will be having ultra-sounds every two weeks from 16-24 weeks
to monitor my cervix. Following 24 works I will be paying
attention to my body for signs of labor... With other uterine
normalities 50-80% of women do not have problems so let's be
hopeful that I am within those statistics.

The T-shaped uterus is so infrequent (without DES exposure - google
if you'd like more info) that data doesn't exist; however, Dr. Lai did
confirm that this will not land me a spot on the Today Show nor
Oprah.

Pictures of the peanut below. He/She was very active during
the ultrasound - kicking legs and waving arms - I attribute to
the Reeces Peices I ate on the way in. We also measured a heartbeat
of 164/minute.
