Lobster Dinner

The past two days have been lobster "mini" season
down here. So, tonight we all went to Keith and
Teresa's for a huge feast!!

Sawyer is strapped in and ready to go... He hasn't figured
out yet that he is strapped in!!

In Memory

We lost a very dear friend last night in a tragic accident...
Ashley Krajca


Ashley is a graduate student at the University of Miami as well as an intern with the South Florida Student Shark Program that Curt is affiliated with. Ashley had a passion for sharks, specifically hammerheads. A hammerhead was the first shark Ashley ever caught and tagged and this past Saturday while doing research for the Discovery Channel aboard Curt's boat Ashley caught and tagged her final hammerhead. Ashley had enough passion for ten people when it came to sharks...Her enthusiasm was contagious!!


Ashley was too young to die. She was bursting with life. She was very bright and had the world at her fingertips. She was funny, could always make you laugh. And she loved to play with Sawyer before and after trips.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Ashley's husband, her family, her friends, and her colleagues at the University of Miami.

Life is so precious and this is such a difficult reminder. Live and love your best each day.

So Happy Mommy is Home

I just returned from San Francisco, took the red-eye last night so I could be here when Sawyer got up this morning. He was so excited to see me!! And he had so much to say....

He is also wearing his special Duluth, MN outfit today from the Prudhommes, looking good!!

ROLLING!!!

Yesterday morning Sawyer rolled for the first time - belly to back. And this morning he rolled from his back to his belly... I was finally able to catch a roll on video. Will keep trying for the reverse.

We have moved into new territory as parents... we have a mobile child!!

Sawyer had a great day today....

He spent the morning with Teresa and
her family as I was doing my Open Water
dives to become certified in Scuba and
Curt was out on the water catching
sharks with a film crew from Animal
Planet for a new TV show "Bio Recon"
that will premier after the first of the
year. They caught 11 sharks, 5 species.
The crew was thrilled and impressed
with Curt's operation.

Sawyer hung out in his stroller while
mom and dad finally had a few moments
to catch up on their days...


And then Sawyer was all smiles with Daddy

And then Mr. Funny Pants was wearing his shirt
on his head.


Not sure if I have mentioned it, but we have a new and
delightful routine... Sawyer goes to sleep at 10:30p and
wakes up at 7:30a... YEAH! We are over a week into this
new routine and feeling refreshed!!

First Toy

Sawyer has a discovered his first toy that he can play with.
It is his crinkle paper from Fran =)
He just loves it and it keeps him very busy.

He is such a big boy sitting up and holding it...

Mommy is Home

I have just returned from my first work trip away from my men.
We all survived!!

The good-bye was emotional, but we were able to stay
connected through Skype a couple of times a day which
made things easier for me in San Diego.

Once he had nourishment he was able to show how
happy he was to see me. Lots of smiles and giggles.

Happy Birthday Jeff

Our Birthday Boy with his new spear gun.


Jeff is 14 today! His celebration included some time
in the pool and an incredible dinner... Lobster, Shrimp,
Stone Crab, Ribs, Tenderloin... all of his favorites.
We were lucky to be there!! Yum!!

The Godfather Visits

Sawyer was very excited to see him!!

Sawyer Gets Good at Kicking

Sawyer has figured out that when he is on his play mat
that if he kicks the purple dolphin holding the ball it will
make noise. He is getting pretty consistent with his kicks!


And I loved this picture... almost as if I snuck up on him
and his face says, "I don't know what you are talking
about, I didn't do it."
