To Honolulu

I have a program operating in Lanai and a program that
is being prepped in Honolulu. There have been a few small
issues in Honolulu so my Client asked me to head over a
bit earlier than planned.

So, on Saturday morning Curt, Sawyer and I boarded the
plane. We left Grandma and Grandpa in Maui to have a
couple of days to themselves - they took full advantage
with a Helicopter tour and Parasailing (no photo's).

I went straight to work when we arrived in Honolulu.
Curtie spent his couple of days with Sawyer relaxing...

They went on many walks and spent time at the beach.
They had a unique opportunity to see this Hawaiian Monk
Seal that had come ashore. The Hawaiian monk seal
is an endangered earless seal.

Sawyer slept through the excitement, but dad made
sure he was part of the action.

They also came across some birds...

And on Monday afternoon Grandma and
Grandpa arrived... We were all very excited to see them!!

Lana'i

We all headed over to Lana'i today...
The Ferry Ride is approximately 40 minutes in length.

Upon arrival I had to get to work while my travel
companions had the opportunity to explore the island.

Lana'i is a small island with drastic temperature changes
between beach and mountains. The terrain is beautiful...

Lana'i boasts two Four Seasons Resorts; Manele (on the
beach) and Koele (top of the mountain). The gang took
the shuttle to the top of the mountain to check out the
grounds...

They then rented a jeep to exlpore the rest of the island
on their own...

Shipwreck Beach.

The story goes... This WW2 Liberty Ship was going to be sunk
as an artificial reef in the 1940's, but the ship refused
to sink and washed up on this beach in Lana'i

Curt (of course) found the skull
of an Axis Deer - common on the
island.

First Bath Tub Bath

Sawyer had his first bath in a bath tub this morning.
As you can see he did pretty good... He just wanted
to make sure Grandma kept a hand on him.

Maui

We arrived at our hotel last night, had a quick dinner,
and we were all in bed. Sawyer doesn't seem as though
he is really effected by the time change - but will
see how the next couple of days are.

We were up early this morning with lots of energy!!
Sawyer and Curt on our patio...
Curt decided to take Sawyer for a walk along Ka'anapali
Beach ~ a little father and son time.

When they returned we all headed to breakfast.
Grandpa Jon gave Sawyer his breakfast...

After a nap for Sawyer and some exercise for Grandma
and I we headed to the beach. We rented a cabana for
sun protection and took turns enjoying snorkeling.

After a bite to eat it was time for Sawyer to experience
another ocean...

It was a bit chilly at first, but then quite refreshing.
It looks like Sawyer may have cried, but nope - although
these intial pictures don't show he loves the water like
his dad.
Curt and Sawyer do some surfing!!

We headed up to lunch.
Sawyer relaxed...

While Grandma and Grandpa posed for the camera...

Curt and I have our first date tonight since Sawyer was born...
We can't wait!!

We have landed in Hawaii

The 8+ hour flight was good. Sawyer
behaved like a little angel. He ate, played
and slept. He took turns on all of our
laps and loved the opportunity to
stretch out when one of us
left our seat.

We had an hour layover in Oahu
in route to Maui so we thought we
would take full advantage to
"suck up" our first tropical drink.

Sawyer posing to be part of the fun!

Slonims @ Sunset

The three of us headed out to take in sunset this
evening, dump some guts, and throw a line in the water.

Sawyer was a really happy baby just kickin' it on
the front of the boat.

It was a little bright so he was checking out my shades...

He then showed off his "tummy" skills

We took some pictures of Sawyer with mommy

And then with daddy

Him alone with the beautiful sunset

The sun going down

And the sky after the sun had disappeared
A beautiful night in the FL Keys!!
