Incredible Fishing Trip

Curt had a pretty incredible day on the
water yesterday with the U of Miami
Research team.

They caught this 11.5 ft Hammer Head

Check out how big that dorsal fin is

I would hate to be his snack

You can really see how long the fish is in this picture

And then they caught a SAWFISH!!!
The sawfish is very rare and the only fish on the
endangered species list.
Here is a video of the full length ~ 14 feet!!

A close-up of its "saw"

Look at the tail
The underside of the sawfish
Close-up you can really see its face

Due to the fact that the Sawfish is an endangered species,
the Shark Research team did not tag the fish or take any samples.
The hook was quickly removed and the animal was released
safely and in great condition immediately. Proper authorities
were contacted.
