I have decided that with my final day of maternity leave
that I would capture a "Day in the Life" of Sawyer.
So, as the day goes on I will be adding to this post.
Last night Sawyer went to bed at 9:30p (he has started
to move his bedtime up) and slept until 3:43a...
6+ HOURS!!!! Curt and I skipped into his room when
he woke up. Curt gave him a quick diaper change and
I gave him a quick snack and he was back in his crib
at 4:06a. I did not get pictures as I didn't want to
encourage awake time.
He slept until 7:00a on the nose and here is a picture
of our little man stretching and waking up.

After he had his diaper changed he had a morning snack...
half of a feeding. He does not like his breakfast first thing.
He then spent some time hanging out in his room
listening to his music (Shoo Fly, Camptown Races, Skip to
my Loo, etc.) while mommy got ready for the day.

We were out the door for a walk/run. I prefer to walk, but

When we returned from our walk/run
Daddy got Sawyer dressed for the day.

And then Daddy picked out his Shark Patrol
shirt to wear - too many good pictures, so

It was then 9:10a and time for breakfast.

After he ate we played for about an hour and at 10:15a
he settles in for a nap.
He is a bit attached to this blanket and likes

At 12:20p I hear some stirring...
Sawyer is awake and in a short amount of time he
lets me know that he is ready for lunch in his own
special way...
Typically after he eats I prop him up on my knees and

not interested in that interaction today because when I
propped him up on my knees this is what I got...
And he has fallen back to sleep... hmmmm.
Perhaps he is growing today?
The nap was only 30 min or so in length and he was
up to finish his lunch and then play with mommy.
A new favorite for him is the mirror.
He will sit in his bouncy seat and look into the mirror,
checking himself out, for quite some time.
I stood behind the mirror and snapped the variety
of facial expressions he makes at himself...
He certainly likes himself!! =)
We then moved into his room to play on his exercise mat
just before this 2:50p diaper change
Shortly there after he spit up on himself and so we had
a little naked time ~ gave me a good change to check
out chubby he is getting...
We changed yet another diaper, got dressed in new
clothes, ate another meal and now we are waiting for
Mindy to arrive...
