Thursday night we made the road trip up to Bradenton, FL to pick-up the new boat. We were so excited to lay eyes on it Friday morning. The boat was still out of the water as they did final adjustments on the new engines and had the hull waxed.
After what seemed like "forever" the boat was put in the water.
Daddy and Sawyer -- very excited!
Grandpa and Sawyer waiting for the crew to finish up power washing the deck so we can get on our way!
And we are off....
Sawyer sleeps GREAT on the new boat!
And just as the sun was starting to set....
We spun a hub -- or so we thought. We made our way into the Ft. Meyers Beach Marina on one engine and docked for the night. The next morning we made arrangements for a new prop when the fine people at Hill Marine (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) discovered that the props had been put on without Thrush Washers (BIG OOPS!!!) and that we needed two new lower units. The stand-up marina from Bradenton drove down with two lower units and had us back on the water by evening. This made for a really long day in Ft. Myers, but thanks to the nice sailboat people with a vehicle we were able to get clean undies at Target =)
