3 Months

Sawyer is 3 months old today... how did this happen?

Each day with him is so exciting as he continues to
become his own little person. He is a really good little
boy - he really only cries when he is in need of something -
diaper change, food, a blankie, etc. He isn't quite sleeping
through the night, but is only up once after a 5-6 hour
rest and then a quick snack and right back to sleep.

He is becoming more and more vocal
and loves to chit chat. He is also close
to finding his giggle, but getting
good at practicing...

He had his 3 month check-up today
and measures as follows...
Weight: 13 lbs, 4 oz (50%)
Length: 24 1/2 inches (75%)
Head Circumference: 16 1/2 inches (70%)
So, he has had another growth spurt...
Especially in his length - he is long and
skinny like a green bean!!
Here is a snapshot of his growth progress

Overall, Sawyer is really healthy. Unfortunately, he is
starting to show signs that he may have inherited
mommy's itchy dry skin (eczema). We have been directed
to keep him moisturized as well as introduce water for
additional hydration. This is heart-breaking for me, but
will do what we can to help manage.
And we received word that he may be getting his teeth
a bit earlier than normal.... I think we have his father
to thank for this. We are able to feel the beginning
of his bottom teeth.
This milestone has created some reflection...
I was trying to remember life before Sawyer and although
we had more freedom with our time and spontaneity
was the norm it wasn't nearly as fun as life is now!!
I rather enjoy the routine that Sawyer has created and the
lack of sleep has just become a part of who I am.
